Description: For your consideration is a cast iron kettle with three legs, a gate mark and is made with the Sunk or Pit Bottom feature. By Sunken or Pit Bottom feature: I'm referring to a firebox lid being removed and the kettle can be placed where the stove's lid was. My assistant filled it up almost to the lid shelf with tap water and it held six quarts. It has a height of almost 7". It would use a lid with a diameter of 10 1/2" (or slightly more). One day, I had a No. 8 Lodge lid in my hand and needed a place to set it; I set on this kettle and it fit perfectly, but that lid has a Lodge mark, that is approximately 100 years newer than this kettle. This kettle is an old item that was used. It has 0 cracks and 0 chips, however my helper and I cleaned on it very little. I decided it would have very mild pitting everywhere on the interior and everywhere on the exterior. It has a shelf for a lid and the lid is missing. Please, carefully examine the pictures, as the pictures are part of the description.Whenever it is practical, I will combine shipping.
