Description: Blue Panasonic R-72 Toot-A-Loop AM RadioThe radio appears to me to be in good condition with some areas being in what I would consider to be very good condition. The radio does show some cosmetic wear with scratches, scuff marks, oxidation, rub wear, tool marks to pry notch to open the battery compartment, and possibly other general wear. Be sure to check all of the pictures closely, including the additional pictures under this description, for the best idea of the general cosmetic condition of the radio. From information gathered on the internet the radio was produced sometime between the late 1960s to the early 1970s. This is the R-72 which is an AM only radio. The radio uses one 9v battery and when I opened the battery compartment found an old unused, factory plastic wrapped Panasonic Long Life Battery, which is included with the radio. I did test the radio with a new 9v battery(not included) and the radio turned on and off and raised and lowered the volume by turning the volume knob. I do not have headphones that work with the radio and therefor could not test to see if the headphone port is in working order. Because of the age of the battery, I would assume it would not work and is being offered as a display item. The radio is marked model R-72 along with other information including Made in Japan.
