Description: This adorable Royal Doulton figurine “The Favorite” HN 2249 features a woman pouring a bowl of milk for her favorite cat. It was designed and signed by M. Nicoll and was issued from 1959 to 1990 when it was retired. All figurines are considered signed by Royal Doulton if it has the designers name on the bottom or a number or initials of the artist. Measuring approximately 7 1/2” tall and 3 3/4” wide, the figurine is made of bone china and hand painted, which gives each piece very different and unique features. Purchased from a large estate collection the figurine has been well cared for and is in excellent vintage preowned condition with no cracks, chips, crazing, paint loss or restorations. It would make a beautiful gift to add to someone’s existing collection or to start a new collection. Because of the delicate nature of the piece, I will be double boxing it.
