Description: This Hewlett-Packard 209A Oscillator comes from the estate of silent key K8ZS. Like many vintage pieces of HP test equipment, the switches, controls, and potentiometers are in need of treatment with contact cleaner, but the oscillator is otherwise functional. The HP 209A was tested with an oscilloscope to verify operation. See the photos for images of sine and square waves being generated at 100 kHz. Note that the square wave output is slightly distorted at higher frequencies. The overall condition of this HP 209A is good. It has the wear and tear of many years of normal usage, but the front panel along with the knobs and controls are in good cosmetic condition (nothing missing or broken). I have made no attempt to refurbish it beyond basic clean up. I will leave it up to whoever purchases this equipment to restore it as they see fit. Due to the age and condition of vintage test equipment such as this, the Hewlett-Packard 209A Oscillator is sold strictly AS IS. We have verified basic functionality, but cannot provide an exchange or warranty. Please keep this in mind before you purchase it. International buyers: Import duties, taxes, and customs charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
