Made in England Excellent condition ————— Alan McAfee was a bespoke shoemaker in London’s West End, 38 Dover Street, W1. Dating I believe to around the mid-1950s, these shoes will have been made by one of the top Northampton firms under license to brand Alan McAfee. The hand-scribed nomenclature on the inside/side appears to be similar to Church’s. Ultimately the Alan McAfee name was purchased by Church’s in the mid-80s. The name has been dormant since the mid-90s.
