Description: This is a sweet antique butter pat in the shape of a leaf, made of porcelain and likely originating from France in the late 19th century. It features multi-color over glazed enamel floral designs in the Imari palette. The brightly colored Japanese porcelains in the Imari patterns where very popular in both Europe and America from the Civil War era. This is an original tiny individual butter plate from the Victorian era. The pottery is unidentified but believed to be a French pottery.
