Description: Book Description Publication Date: January 1, 2015 Party cans were designed for beer to be shared between two or more people at home gatherings. These cans were predominantly sold in the United Kingdom and West Germany during the 1960s and 1970s. In the UK, most party cans contained four, five, or seven pints of ale or lager and were often referred to by the number of pints. In Germany and other parts of Europe, party cans typically contained four liters of beer and were simply referred to as “gallon” cans. This full color guide is intended to illustrate the various European brands of party cans by size and country. Additionally, "pin-up girl" 5 liter German cans are also included, as well as select Japanese party cans. "Scott Mertie has compiled an impressive array of European Party Cans, which is a great resource for the collector. It's an excellent full color guide to some of the most colorful cans in the hobby."Kenn Flemmons (BCCA #21489)Past BCCA President; Author of Finest Beer You Ever Tasted Show more Show less <style type='text/css'> #outer_postBodyPS { display: none; } #psGradient { display: none; } #psPlaceHolder { display: none; } #psExpand { display: none; } </style> <div id="postBodyPS">Party cans were designed for beer to be shared between two or more people at home gatherings.
