Description: This is a lovely piece of Royal Delft (De Porceleyne Fles) pottery. It was made at the Netherland’s most famous delft factory and consists of a bowl that is shaped like a bucket with pierced handles and a handled lid. The bowl measures approximately 2” in height and 3” in width, including handles, and the lid is 3 ¼” in width. This pretty piece features an ivory background with a tinge of blue and is skillfully decorated with a bold and beautiful floral motif. It is marked on the base with the blue Royal Delft stamp that includes an image of a porcelain jar, the letter “F”, “Delft”, the painter’s initials on the left, the year of production on the right (which I was unable to accurately decipher) and the number, “1923”. Despite some manufacturing flaws, crazing and the residue of a label on the underside of the lid, this piece is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, discolorations or any evidence of damage.
