Description: New, dual-shaft, two-speed, 3 horse power electric servo motor with brake. 244 This looks to be a high-performance motor unit. We think it is a Naval gun or rocket positioning system drive motor. It has a main drive shaft coming out one end and a smaller shaft out the other end for mounting an encoder or other type of position indicator. The 2-pole motor speed would be good for rapid positioning while the 6 pole motor speed would be good for fine positioning. The brake would lock it in place once the desired position is reached. The particular unit imaged here has been removed from its container for display and has dings on two flange corners. Other matching units are still in their original shipping packaging. The image above shows the basic wiring diagram for the two speeds and the brake. The image below is the placard for this unit. It is 440 volts, 3 phase, AC at nominally 3394 and 848 rpm. (We can supply VFDs [Variable Frequency Drives] that could be used as phase converters as well as servo-amplifiers, along with other associated automation parts--for nominal additional cost). Raw weight 84. Lbs. and dimensions 18x10.5x11". An outstanding item for power automation and robotics motor drive applications. Condition looks new, never used.
