LOT OF 17 Shiny Brite-Poloron Colored Glass 2 1/4" & 2 5/8" Ornaments 1970's

Description: The listing includes 17 glass ornaments crafted in the United States. Get into the holiday spirit with these beautiful vintage ornaments!The Shiny Brite factory of Max Eckardt & Sons was located in New York, New York with the official address at 45 East 17th Street. Following WWII, production at this site continued into the early 1960's before moving to a new facility in 1964. (At around this same time, circa 1946 a production facility was opened in West Germany at the behest of the US government to help rebuild Germany.)The embossed back of the boxes shows the New Rochelle, New York address and the size/style/quantity of the contents of the box. Interestingly, one of the boxes has an "8" stamped over the printed 9. Possibly as a cost-saving-measure? Or lack of correct tops?NOTE: The sides of the box top reads "Subsidiary of Poloron Products, Inc. (Shiny Brite was a subsidiary of Poloron from 1972 until Poloron closed in 1981).There seems to be conflicting information on the web regarding the history of production dates and ownership of Shiny Brite. If I've made an error in my listing, and anyone reading this can offer some salient corrective information, I'd greatly appreciate it.
