Description: Vintage 1956 boxing program featuring Johnny Saxton vs. Carmen Basilo at War Memorial in Syracuse, New York. I got this rare piece from a friend of mine who was the train conductor at that time. Train travel was the mode of transportation back then. He was working the car on the train where Rocky Marciano and Slapsie Maxie Rosenbloom were seated after attending the boxing match. Both are in Boxing Hall of Fame. The conductor had both of them sign the program cover. Unfortunately, when Marciano signed, a drop of liquid or sweat fell on the signatures. Both signatures have the full letter of Authentify of JSA. YY78829 Copy of letter photographed. Postage and handling $25.00. Rosenbloom was much older than Marciano and had a comedy revue performing in Syracuse. Inside cover has had for show.
