Edmund Fitzgerald print by TPNagle signed and numbered-great lakes series

Description: This is a signed and numbered print from an original oil painting on panel by Great Lakes artist T.P. Nagle The painting is a depiction of the ore carrier in Lake Superior, enroute to Thunder bay,Canada on Nov. 10th 1975.Subsequently , she headed for Caribou Island by way of Whitefish Bay in the dim light of an 80 mile per hour gale. Her visual landmark was the light station at whitefish point. The beacon was never to be seen as we speculate the boat lost her hatch covers amongst other phenomena , allowing frigid waters to fill and pull her down to the dark bottom of Lake Superior. 29 brave crew members still rest as we remember and wonder what really happened. The Arthur M. Anderson had been following and maintaining radio contact with the boats captain untill its fateful demise. The Shipwreck Museum at the Whitefish Point Light Station displays her bell and shipwreck chronology.
