Description: This is an authentic Indian handmade Mandella (Mandela). Some of the fur looks matted or unraveled. It is approx. 15 inches in diameter and approx. 33 inches long. The card attached reads as follows: "The Mandela symbolizes the Indian shield of good luck. With this shield, they believed the gods would protect them, and by having one in their homes, it would bring them prosperity, good, health, and happiness. This shield was a prized possession for the plains Indian's with each part having a special meaning. We have recreated this unique work of art with a superb sense of design and subtle balance. This is an original handmade Mandella. Made of natural sheep wool, rabbit fur" (the rest of the card is cut off) but I can only assume the rest of the card would say "leather, fleece, and feather of various birds." since it was mentioned in another Mandela I have listed with card. The name Evita show on the photo of the female artist. Please see photos for details and features. Nice item to add to your collection or to give as a gift.
