Description: This Doll has a Hallmark of Majestic 2 Reg2. According to our research, this doll was made by Edmund Ulrich Steiner in Germany around the turn of the 20th Century. She does not appear to be on her original body, but is on a cloth body that was probably a replacement sometime in the 1940s to 1950s. Her arms appear to be original to the doll and she appears to have no other problem areas. She does have a mohair replacement wig, as her original wig was quite threadbare with very little hair remaining. Her replacement body is in great shape and it seems as though she was fixed up and then stored, along with her doll friends, as she is in such good condition. As we said, she has a blonde mohair wig which was a replacement for her old one. You all know that here at Muffie's Moppets, we try really hard to only use mohair or human hair wigs on our refurbished dolls, if we cannot used the original wigs on the doll. Our girl also has fixed brown glass eyes. We stuff the heads, whether the eyes are fixed or sleepy eyes, that way, there is less chance the head will get damaged in the mail either way. We also try to source our doll clothing from hand made places. Mommy made doll clothes are the best because they have been made with love!! Our girl here has been dressed in a mom-made dress that we acquired from a doll collector who was thinning her collections. Her mother had made a great many wonderful dresses for her dolls throughout her life, using leftover material and wornout doilies and such. We bought a ton of treasures from her that were just exquisite and this dress was one of them! It suited our big girl just fine! We love the ecru lace collar that encompasses the entire top of the dress! It looks so old fashioned! The dress is deep, deep merlot satin. Her huge dark, dark green slouch hat is trimmed with black lace, black tulle, black maribou, huge black ostrich plumes, pale pink, pale yellow, and white flowers, which we have attached with 3 hat pins! PLUS a feathered boa and a dark green parasol with flowers on it. (See the first few pictures). She looks like a New Orleans Madam!! Isn't she all that?? We just love her!!! Then with all that great blonde hair in a halo all around her gorgeous face? Don't you just love her?!! Well!! You need to take her on home now, guys! She is one beautiful gal! Kindly pay for your doll within 24 hours after selecting her unless you have made alternative arrangement with us. We do offer layaway on our dolls. Just ask! We do insure any package over $50.00. You can select to pay this at the bottom of the Ebay page where you select your desired shipping method. We do ship overseas but only use the Global Shipping Program. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any question about our dolls or our business/ business practices. We love to hear from you!
