Description: This is a charming little advertising thermometer, in wonderful condition. The bird illustrations are colorful and unfaded. The plastic cover that creates the illusion of golden bird cages is un-marred as well. And yes, the thermometer works too! The back side has some discoloration and speckles. The advertiser is Dodd’s Bakery of Independence, Missouri, with the old alpha numeric phone numbers used before the 1960s. We would love to hear from anyone who has a better idea on the date. We think the birds might represent a Townsend Warbler and an Eastern Bluebird. The frame measures 8.25” x 6.25”.
