#65 POWER VALVE FITS STROMBERG 97 STYLE, 48, 81 CARBURETOR (S-9594 #65)

Description: STROMBERG 97 STYLE NEW POWER VALVE-- A quality screw machine part. Stromberg power jet orifice size is in numbered drill sizes. The stock 97 came with a #65 and the 81's came with a #71. We offer all sizes from a #71 (being the smallest ) to a #50 (being the largest.-Remember drill sizes. The larger the # the smaller the hole. If your valve leaks you will not get a good pump action and will cause engine to run rich. If you change your main jets and your carb still runs rich it is probably a leaky power valve. Don't ever use a plain slotted screwdriver to remove or install your power valves. Get a slotted screwdriver that is the same width as the slot in the power valve and grind a "v" slot in the center of the blade. This will allow you to remove the power valve and not touch the center stem. Just a slight bending of the stem will cause the valve not to seat and it will leak. These fit the Stromberg 97' style as well as 81 and 48s.
