1980 Honda XL80S

Here is a vintage rare survivor with low mileage and ready to drive. 1980 Honda XL80S On/Off Road Motorcycle Dirt Bike red in color with 3,246 miles. Also includes some parts and spare parts: New fuel filter, new tube, 2 mirrors I had taken off, 4 blinker lights I took off front and rear, tool kit I took off not sure if the rubber strap is possibly missing that mounts it to bike. Has helmet holder with lock, steering wheel theft lock, GVWR 385 lbs, 60 mph speedometer, Front tires 140 lbs. rated and size is 2.50-16-4PR, front rim is 16 x 1.40, rear tire rated 205 lbs. and size is 3.00-14-4PR, rear rim 14 x 1.60, has fuel shut off and reserve, headlight and taillight work. Has horn but is not working, neutral light is not working probably needs a bulb. It will go about 50 to 55 mph on the road. Also for sale locally listing could end at any time. This comes with a clear Minnesota title which I have in hand, no registration because we never registered it, we also have 2 copies of the purchase contract, used motorcycle disclosure label from the dealership we bought it from, we have the odometer disclosure from the dealership which was 1,818 miles meaning I put on 1,428 miles from 1992 to 2024 as we bought this in 1992 so we have owned it for 32 years since I was 13 years old, we have the cycle and helmet receipts, we have the original newspaper ad, price tag, info pamphlets and some other miscellaneous literature all which is included. I have added a picture of all the documents. Condition: In very nice overall condition with some imperfections here and there with signs of wear, usage, aging but bike has been stored inside a garage the entire time we have owned it. Mechanically runs and drives great, starts right up. Mechanically things I know of that don't work are as follows: Horn is not working, neutral light is not working might need a bulb but other than that I believe everything else is fully functional. Headlight and taillights work. Tank decal is missing a section near the top on the left side, front tire is weather checked on the sides has a lot of cracking but still holds air good. Back tire looks very nice no cracking or anything that I noticed and good tread. There is a bouncy ball sized tear/hole in the seat on the one side near the rear otherwise seat is very nice. The side panels have some broken tabs and are discolored on the exterior otherwise rest of it looks very nice. Other than that minor normal imperfections here and there from normal usage, aging and wear. A great classic bike that was well taken care of as my dad is a mechanic and it has been stored inside for eternity. We bought the bike used in 1992. The bike sat rarely getting used for the last 32 years and it looks like it is leaking out of the top adjusting screw on the carburetor and quite a bit out of the bottom of the carb where the 2 halves meet so I am guessing the gasket and o-ring may need replacing or probably easier just to replace the carb they run $27 to $55 on Ebay. When not in use you can shut off the fuel with a simple flick of the lever and then it won't leak while in storage. $500 down payment within 48 hours. Full payment cash in hand upon pickup only.
