Designed for about 12 volts but can withstand higher voltages like 16 to 20 volts typically used on home type slot car transformers and wall packs. The higher voltages will make the bulb light brighter but also hotter so will shorten the bulb life somewhat of course. The lit bulb shown here gives a bright light using a 20 volt, 12 VA Aurora DC-2 powerpack and these have a comparable useful life to original Aurora magnatraction light bulbs, which is typically 8 to 12 hours of continuous use at 20V, or longer life when used intermittently.Bulb end measures about 7/64" diameter and 9/32" to 5/16" long. The bulb end is narrow enough to fit into most HO slotcar body bulb headlight receptacles found on typical AFX and Tyco bodies. Flexible black lead wires are about 7.5" long past the bulb. Cut to desired length, strip the ends of the insulation, and solder in place for your HO slot cars, lamp posts, HO train layouts, etc.Check out the other slotcar items in my ebay store, since you can combine items to save on shipping.
